Spatial Branding
Designed to heighten sensorial engagement with Four Pillars’ range—from bottled spirits to gin-infused marmalade and chocolate—the Sydney store invites discovery from the street through a generous wall of glazing framed in blackened steel. This transparent threshold establishes a direct visual connection between the public realm and the material richness within.
Internally, the space is defined by a disciplined yet expressive use of timber. A palette of Australian hardwoods shapes the custom joinery, anchored by a 3.3-metre-high display incorporating integrated storage. Australian Red Cedar and Cambia Ash are deployed for their warmth and distinctive grain, with shelving animated by zebra-like patterning that brings texture and movement to the interior.
Curved profiles recur throughout the store, from the primary display to the point-of-sale counter and the turned timber handrail that leads visitors upward to the Gin Lab above. Together, these elements establish a cohesive spatial language—one that balances craft, tactility, and precision while reinforcing Four Pillars’ commitment to quality and provenance.
